About

This wiki follows the four versions of the groundbreaking queer television crime series Eyewitness:

The original series, which followed the lives of Philip Karlsen and Henning Øby, two gay boys living in Oslo, Norway, who become targets after witnessing a triple homicide in the woods. The crime centred limited series spanned for just six episodes in 2014, and inspired three remakes internationally.

Quickly after, the American adaptation was commissioned and released in 2016. It followed the lives of Philip Shea and Lukas Waldenbeck in the small town of Tivoli in upstate New York. The limited series was extended to ten episodes and quickly gained a cult following.

The same year the Romanian version of the limited series aired, opting to shorten the series to just four hour-long episodes. It follows Filip and Horia Diaconu after their chance encounter with a murderer in the woods leads them to believe they will be next.

The latest to be released is the French adaptation, in 2018 it was released as a six episode limited series. It follows Yann Desgrange and Lucas Moreau after they witness a blood bath during their secret meeting in the woods, the two promise not to tell a soul but fear that the killer will come after them next.

Characters

Featured Character

Helen Torrance Promo
Helen Torrance is a main character on Eyewitness. She is the wife of Gabe Caldwell, foster-mother of Philip Shea and the Sheriff of Tivoli. Helen is a former Homicide Detective, to which she quit after the 'Buffalo '07' incident in which she accidentally killed a baby.

Helen holds a somewhat strained relationship with foster-son Philip Shea in the beginning, believing that he is lying to her at every opportunity. She is especially annoyed when Gabe announces that, without discussing it with her, Philip is welcome to stay at the house long after the foster term is served. However, in the end, the two's relationship is strengthened and Helen embraces Philip as her son.
